Sooo, some of you may be wondering why I disappeared for several months... this picture is part of the reason! I started taking my art more seriously, and I found that being on deviantART constantly was distracting me! So, I needed some time off to really concentrate on my art and work on some new awesome pictures... this is the first finished piece! :heart: Close-up detail here: [link]

Wow you've improved so much! I too find dA quite distracting when it comes to getting art done, I usually ban myself for a few days when I need to sit down and just draw.

Everything is so lovely, the colourscheme, pose, the details especially. My only critiques would be her eyes, her left eye is fine but her right is too slanted. The composition is cramped, with only a small space for a background, perhaps if she had been smaller with more background, it would have looked less cramped.

I love the colours used for her hair! Really brings it all out with how bright they are, her eyes are very striking, beautiful mix of colours, all those little painstaking details just look amazing, it must have drove you nuts doing the crosshatching texture of her garment!

Overall it's great and you've improved so much! You've got killer pencil skills :D

I'm so happy with how much I've improved! I just needed to take the time necessary to work slowly on the picture, making little adjustments and working to make things look just right. Thanks again! :heart:
